Given the fact that my last entry in this " journal" more than one year ago I guess I should be calling it "yearnal". However I do hope to become more active and who knows, perhaps it'll become a "monthnal" and maybe, only maybe it might become something that resembles a "weeknal" but lets not get ahead of ourselves, first things first, one step at a time or in this case one entry.
So, to keep things up dated, I am steal living in Florence Italy, studding at the angel academy of art and trying to get better.
I finally finished the drawing program and Im moving into the painting part of the education...well, actually I have already moved into it and I have already finished my first painting which I will be putting up soon, no one year gaps this time, I promise.
I won 5th place on the ARC scholarship ( [link] ) contest, for which, I have to say, Im rather happy.
There are also changes all around, people coming and going.
Christina [link] arrived at my school and even if we have not established a really close relationship I think she is a great girl and an amazing artist (check her gallery)
At the same time one of my school mates which has been one of my biggest inspirations in the art world is leaving. Dorian [link] Has finally finished the school program and is now planning to move on to new and exiting things and even if Im sure this is not a good bye but a see you later it is steal sad to see friends part.
I also started giving lesson in a small school which Dorian and my friend Emil (youreus.blogspot.com) started here in Florence. Its been quite an experience to be on the other side of the...classroom? well you know what I mean. It has really thought me a lot, I have realized that in order to pass on what you know you have to make conscious a lot of things that you might have known but at a rather unconscious level, and what is even more complex, you then have to put it into word so that the other person understands concepts that are quite abstract, but as I said, it has been great.
As I said, as I have been away for more than a year I have no idea who is going to read this, but if you do take the time to do so...well, thanks
until next time.
Juan P

how are you?
Turns out I got a huge load of work (I'm working as a freelance graphic artist for the animation/graphics studio Virgin Lands Inc.) so that's what I'll be doing all weekend so I'm probably unable to come to the comic convention. :[
But, have I mentioned [link] ??? It was only through him that I discovered Donato's work. Indeed his style is similar to Donato's, and he paints really well (I love both their work!) When I grow up I want to be as good as them.
